DHARAMSHALA : Adivaha: White Haven Estate . . . Be Served & Experience Royalty !!! Announcing the Reopening of: Adivaha - White Haven Estate !!! Adivaha formerly known as ‘White Haven’ is nestled in the lap of the Dhauladhar Ranges and surrounded by the lush green tea gardens of Dharamshala for about 3 centuries now. This century old structure was originally known as the ‘East Home’ during the British Raj and has emerged from the hands of famous immediate British Bureaucrats and the Royals of the Punjab. Based on the Evidence the Construction of the ‘East Home’ is as old as of July 1840 by the British military as the Official residence of Officer Major Arthur Connole. Among its other uses during British Raj the property was also used as official residence for the Viceroy of India. The infamous 1905 Kangra Earthquake had badly destroyed the structure and because of its tea garden surroundings the house was famously known among the locals as ‘The Tea House’. Spread over in 80 kanals this table top resort offers a panoramic views of the snow clad Dhauladhar ranges, the lush green Kangra Valley and the picturesque Tea Gardens. Famous for its many television and cinematic stints the resort has also been a famous location for many television series, advertisements and Hindi commercial movies.
